Owner and technician Garrett Cameron has been repairing home appliances and all manner of other mechanical objects since 2012. Since 2019 he has helped hundreds of customers with their appliance needs in the Monadnock region and, in 2022, opened up Jaffrey Appliance Repair, LLC.

I service single-family residential homes in Antrim, Bennington, Chesterfield, Dublin, Fitzwilliam, Francestown, Gilsum, Greenfield, Hancock, Harrisville, Hinsdale, Jaffrey, Keene, Marlborough, Nelson, Peterborough, Richmond, Rindge, Roxbury, Sharon, Stoddard, Sullivan, Surry, Swanzey, Troy, Walpole, Westmoreland, and Winchester, NH.

I do not service Massachusetts or Vermont customers.

I do not work with home warranty companies.
What brands do you work on?
I work on all major brands including Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, Amana, Roper, Admiral, Estate, Speed Queen, Hotpoint, Fisher and Paykel, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Bosch, Thermador, Viking, JennAir, Wolf, Sub-Zero, LG, Samsung, and GE.

I do not work on Dacor or Miele appliances at this time due to the lack of information available (parts diagrams, tech sheets, etc.)
what appliances do you work on?
I work on fridges, freezers, gas ranges, electric ranges, washers, dryers, dishwashers, hoods, wall ovens, cook tops, laundry units, trash compactors, and garbage disposals.

I do not do sealed system work on refrigerators. I also do not work on commercial appliances, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, or pellet stoves, nor do I convert appliances to LP.
How much is your service call?
The service call fee is determined based on distance from Jaffrey, NH.

Zone 1 - $105 - Dublin, Fitzwilliam, Jaffrey, Peterborough, Rindge, Sharon

Zone 2 - $115 - Hancock, Harrisville, Marlborough, Troy

Zone 3 - $125 - Antrim, Bennington, Francestown, Greenfield, Keene, Nelson, Richmond, Roxbury, Swanzey

Zone 4 - $135 - Chesterfield, Gilsum, Stoddard, Sullivan, Surry, Winchester

Zone 5 - $145 - Hinsdale, Walpole, Westmoreland

This fee includes the trip charge, any research/parts look-up, and the first 60 minutes of troubleshooting and diagnosis. It may also include a portion of the labor of the repair depending on the problem.

Any additional time/labor is $25 per 15 minutes. Parts pricing depends on the required parts. I only use brand new OEM parts.

The service call fee is due at the time of the appointment.

For Thermador, Viking, Wolf, Sub-Zero, and other high-end brands, there is an add-on fee of $20. This cost covers the additional time it takes to look up parts and other technical information (information for high-end brands can be harder to find).

Additional fees may be determined at the time of the service call and will be communicated to you. Common examples include dishwashers with flooring built up in front of the machine (can make it very difficult to pull out the appliance in order to diagnose), any type of work involving pulling out a wall oven, stacked units (dryer on top of washer) and out-of-service-area fees.
what kind of guarantees/warranties do you offer?
I offer a 90-day parts and labor warranty. If a manufacturer offers a longer warranty period on a specific part, I will extend that warranty to the customer.
should i repair vs. replace?
This depends on a variety of factors including the age of the appliance and availability of parts.

What are your business hours?
My business hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
What payment options do you accept?
I accept cash, check, card (3.5% transaction fee), or Venmo (1.9% transaction fee).
dishwasher installation
The standard base rate for dishwasher installations is $175. This includes an hour of labor, a new fill hose, cord, and plumbing adapters. If the installation takes over an hour, this is billed at my standard service call rate- $25 every 15 minutes. Most dishwasher installations take between an hour and an hour-and-a-half.

The new dishwasher must be in the kitchen upon arrival. I do not do haulaways of the old unit at this time.
Dryer and Vent Clean
Disassembly and vacuuming of dryer, lubrication of roller wheels and idler pulley, vent clean up to 25 feet of vent accessible from ground level (can access the vent without a ladder).

If your vent is over 25 feet long, if the vent exhaust is not accessible from ground level, or if the dryer is stacked there may be an additional charge that will be determined at the time of service.

There is an additional $10 travel fee for zones 4 and 5.

We recently experienced issues with our washing machine. We looked for a repair service and made a call and was told someone would be in touch. The following day I called again and was told it would be several days to get an appointment. I then searched and found Jaffrey Appliance repair and called them. Garrett answered the phone and was able to fit us in later in the day. He gave me a window of an hour that he would be arriving and stated I would get text messages informing us of his arrival. I received a text when he was in route and he arrived promptly at the beginning of the window I was initially told. Garrett was very personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. He took care of the issue and completely checked out the washer to make sure it was working correctly. He was very reasonable and he has gained a loyal customer for all of our future needs.
