Samsung Fridge Ice Maker Not Working? Ice Maker Freezing Up?

Yet another extremely common issue with Samsung French Door fridges is the ice maker in the fridge compartment not working or freezing up. Like the water under the crisper drawers issue, this is due to a poorly-engineered design. Samsung has come out with many ''fixes'' for this issue over the years, and continue to come out with ''fixes'' with, in our experience, usually only work about 60-70 percent of the time.

Along with the risk of the repair not working out in the long-term, the cost of the Samsung ice maker kit with installation is normally around $400. That's a lot of money for ice! We typically do not recommend going through with the ''fix'', as 30-40 percent of the time the problem will come back six months or so later.
